Dungeon Delvers Kickstarter 48 Hours to Go

Murray the Janitor.
Thanks to an amazing response from backers all over the world, Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! is over 200% funded with 48 hours to go.

I couldn't have done this without my friends encouraging me and a loving wife who didn't mind me sculpting on the couch while we watch TV in the evenings.

If you haven't already, check out the Kickstarter page. There are now 17 miniatures including the original 9 Delvers. Awesome value and worthy of any gaming table. Don't hesitate to share this with your friends!

Sculpting Fantasy Miniatures + Garm of Hrothmyr + Kickstarter

Garm of Hrothmyr.
Legendary Hero #2 for the Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! Kickstarter. Now 138% funded with 9 days to go. Garm of Hrothmyr! A berserker theologian with a maul and horned helm.

This miniature came from an amazing description of Evan's character, Garm of Hrothmyr. In Evan' s own words, "I've played several incarnations of him in several different games, and he remains
my favorite PC of all time. I don't have any pictures of him for you to use as reference, so I'll do my best to describe him for you and let your artistic license fill in the blanks."

I'm finding the Legendary Hero pledge backers are the most excited about the Kickstarter. I share in that excitement. It really is awesome to be asked to sculpt their favourite RPG character and I hope I do them justice.

Here are some photos, taking you backwards through my sculpting process.

Allysia the Pirate Bard + Sculpting Fantasy Miniatures + Kickstarter Stretch Goal

Allysia, my 11th Sculpt.
Sculpting the first Stretch Goal for the Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! Kickstarter. Now 125% funded with 11 days to go. Allysia the Pirate Bard! Scourge of the Westfall Islands, Allysia steals hearts and cuts purses. Or was that steals purses and cuts hearts?

This miniature had a few sticky moments. The lute in particular, which too an hour to sculpt. I wondered if the initial pose was too static. However, with hands on hips (or cutlass and hip flask), Allysia has a powerful 'no-nonsense' stance. I like the cut of her jib!

Here are some photos, taking you backwards through my sculpting process.

God bless you and have an awesome week!

Work In Progress + Legendary Hero Father Alucard

Artwork by Kevin Briones.
Sculpting the first Legendary Hero for the Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! Kickstarter. Now 81% funded. I can't wait to see these miniatures in metal! These Work In Progress photos show my sculpting process from wire frame to putty master. The original concept sketch is by artist Kevin Briones.

The first Legendary Hero is Michael's Dark Cleric character, Father Alucard. This miniature has been a pleasure to sculpt. I have a few elements to finish, like the right hand. This is the 10th miniature I've sculpted and I'm learning new ways to apply fine detail and keep surfaces smooth.

I hope there will be some more Legendary Hero pledge backers. For the moment I will begin the first Stretch Goal miniature, Allysia the Pirate Bard! Scourge of the Westfall Islands, Allysia steals hearts and cuts purses. Or was that steals purses and cuts hearts?

God bless you and have a great week!
