Axterix the Dwarf Lord. |
Axterix started out as a dwarf and soon grew in stature to a rather large 'heroic scale' Dwarf Lord. Compared with my first two miniatures, this one has the largest girth. As I continue to develop my crafting skills a style is emerging.
Painting Table Saturday has turned into Putty Table Saturday. I am now planning on getting my miniatures cast in metal. A couple more will make a party of five for Yeoman. Perhaps a Wizard or Amazon will be next?
Like a bird on a wire. |
The nod to Asterix of Gaul may be subtle but I guess it is more of a salute to the fantasy worlds of Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer and Fighting Fantasy.
God bless you and enjoy your week.
Good work
ReplyDeleteThanks man. I'm a fan of Castle Triskelion.
DeleteFantastic job ! Masterpiece ! I want one ! :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could do stuff like this. How did you learn?
Greetings
Thanks Mario! I was thinking of you when I sculpted this dwarf! I have repaired and converted miniatures over the years. Recently I was inspired to sculpt a whole miniature from a wire frame. April has been a busy month. I now have five miniatures sculpted! When I get them cast in metal are you interested in one?
DeleteAnother excellent miniature, and great presentation!
ReplyDeleteThanks Roy. It's the beginning of a new adventure!
DeleteAlas, I have not such skill. Now, if it were wood working! LOL
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
We all have talents. In this case, I was unsure of how good it would look but I am picking up the basic techniques of sculpting miniatures fairly quickly. I may need to take a break soon to get on with other tasks!
