Painting Table Saturday 59 + Erkenbrand + Vikings

Painting Table Saturday #59. I have a book from an old friend that has beautiful photos of Norway. A suitable backdrop for these miniatures.

Erkenbrand will lead my Lord of the Rings inspired SAGA army. The ranks will include classic Citadel Vikings and rare Grenadier and Metal Magic miniatures like the ones below.

    I've haven't painted mini's since the 70's, but you've inspired me to take up the proverbial brush. Getting the supplies. I used to do pewter, now I'll have to try my hand with these plastic jobs.

      There are plenty of metal miniatures online. Even classic ones from the 70s and 80s. Many are available on eBay or are still in production. Often cheaper than plastic miniatures. I prefer the heft of metal. Stay away from Games Workshop finecast though. If you get stuck I could send you some.
